This year the Bronx Zoo did a special Pumpkin Nights. We usually do Boo at the Zoo, but this seemed like a fun change, so I bought tickets back in September. Unfortunately, we had a very raining Friday, well, we’ve had rainy weekends for the past seven weekends, but I was hoping for a dry Friday. Since I bought the tickets and they weren’t refundable we had to go. So, we threw the kids in the car, which fortunately was closer because Jeff had it parked in the neighborhood to get a tire fixed (had a nail in it). Hehehe, he did have to move it once because it almost got towed. Luckily the security system informed him!
Anyways, we jumped in the car and sat in traffic for over an hour and a half in the pouring rain. Luckily when we got there there was an EV charging spot available with free charging and the rain started lightening up. The evening was a lot better than expected. We walked over to the place with the food trucks and grabbed some donuts and Cohen played a game of large Jenga.
Then we headed over to walk the pumpkin train. It was really cool, and the kids seemed to really enjoy it. They had pumpkin decorations in the shape of so many animals. The rain stayed really light or nonexistent so the night was not a totally bust!
