Tonight I took Grandma to see Carousel. I grew up on Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, so I thought it would be fun to share one with her—even though Carousel has never been one of my favorites. Still, seeing it live on stage was absolutely incredible.
There’s just something about experiencing a Rodgers and Hammerstein show in person that brings their music and stories to life in a way movies never quite do. I’ve always appreciated their work so much more from the stage. I was thrilled to catch this performance, especially since the only one of their classics I haven’t seen live yet is Oklahoma!. Hopefully that one comes around soon!
