This year, Cohen decided to be a wizard for Halloween. About a month prior, he wanted to be the Flash, but changed his mind a couple of weeks before the big day. I was able to piece together a wizard costume, and he was thrilled—that’s all that matters. Grandma and Grandpa took Cohen to Columbus Circle for some trick-or-treating and then up to 69th Street to see the impressive decorations on Columbus Avenue. I was sad to miss it, but grateful for my parents’ help. Grandpa even took pictures for me, ensuring we captured the memories.
