Jeff, Cohen, and I flew to Minnesota to attend Jon’s funeral. Jon, Jeff’s brother, passed away on September 6, 2016, after bravely living with ALS since his diagnosis in August 2013. He was such an incredible person—his smile could light up any room, and he was always up for a board game. Honestly, you wouldn’t believe the collection he had! I especially loved playing pinochle with him. He’d always try to cheat, but it just made the game more fun. I’m grateful we could be there to remember him and support his family. When Jeff took Cohen in to see Jon, Cohen surprised us all by saying that Jon looked like Jesus—a moment that deeply touched Jeff. Everyone wore crazy socks, one of Jon’s favorite things, in his honor.
