This time I finally got to go to Lydia’s soccer game, and I was extra excited because Jeff had just given me a new camera lens—100 to 400mm—so I could zoom right in on the action. Honestly, the field was probably a little small for that lens, but I had a blast experimenting with it. I was so proud of Lydia—she played so well! I especially loved all the dramatic expressions she made while chasing the ball. At one point, she pulled off an incredible stop and turn that completely impressed me, especially since it was only her second game. She stayed determined, stuck with it, and even though the final score was 2–2, she didn’t seem too disappointed. Afterward, we celebrated with a stop for her favorite lemon ice cream on the way home. It made for such a fun morning, and I was also really glad Cohen came along—he’s such a sweet big brother.
