We had talked all summer about going to a Mariners game, but with everything going on—and Mizz’s travels—we did not manage to make it happen until the end of August. When we found a 1:00 p.m. game, it seemed like the perfect opportunity, especially since the stadium is about a three-hour drive from our house.
Jeff was even able to come with us, which made the day extra special. Since we were buying tickets at the last minute, there were not many great seating options left, so we ended up sitting in the sun for the first part of the game. Still, we had a wonderful time, and the kids did so well.
I love that they enjoy going to games so much. James was especially happy once he had his baseball cards! The game itself was a little disappointing, but spending the day together as a family—and having Jeff there with us—made it worthwhile.
We watched a lot of baseball over the summer with Grandma and Grandpa, and I love knowing that the kids will always remember that as part of their time with them.
