So, Cohen, Lydia, and I took a COVID test last Sunday and we were all negative, so we were all ready for Florida. Honestly, I have been so stressed about this trip, but mostly the flight. James and Lydia have a bit of cough, so I was so afraid they would kick us off because they were coughing, and Lydia would refuse to wear a mask. I prayed hard that everything would go well, and my prayers were totally answered.
On The Plane!
The kids did great on the plane. James kept moving back and forth between Jeff, Grandma, Grandpa, and Mizz the whole flight, but he only melted a little bit. We did give him his pacifier, but dispirit times called for dispirit measures.
Lydia watched tv and ate her weight in gummies. Mizz and I bought some awesome treats and toys to prep for this trip. Mizz’s bag of fun was a big hit! Cohen of course did awesome as expected. Seriously, it was two good flights. The kids were so excited to be on a plane and going to Disney World!
Almost There!
Disney doesn’t offer their complimentary shuttle service to their resorts anymore, but the company that used to do it still offers it for a fee. It’s totally awesome. We didn’t have to wait long for the bus and there was only one stop before us. I think what the kids loved most were the sunglasses they gave them. Lydia and Cohen both chilled the whole way to the hotel. While I missed the normal Disney cartoons they used to play, Cohen was totally entertained by the trivia questions they asked. FYI: Magic Kingdome is the smallest park and they have roughly 50K guest per day at just one park. It’s totally crazy! Well, it was a long day, but I’m glad we did the travel all day and tuck in early at night so we could hit the park the next morning. The kids really needed the low key evening before the crazy, amazing week ahead of them.
This time we stayed at the Beach Club. Our good friends recommended it and Jeff, and I were both pleased with it. While the restaurant situation was rough, we loved the location! Jeff said he would for sure go back to this hotel.
