After Cohen developed a fever and couldn’t go to school for several days (which we later learned was strep throat), I wanted to make the most of his recovery. So, we went pumpkin picking at Secor Farms in New Jersey. I was glad we did, as our weekends were packed leading up to the baby’s arrival. We enjoyed a hayride to a field scattered with pumpkins and navigated a corn maze. The hayride was a bit bumpy, making me nervous about going into labor early, but luckily, all went well. Cohen fed animals and played happily in a corn pit before picking out a pumpkin. He was actually more excited about the pumpkin decorating kit than the pumpkin itself.
