I felt a twinge of guilt about enlisting Mizz to join me for grocery shopping ahead of Thanksgiving. However, she reassured me that she was happy just to spend time together, and our shopping expedition turned out to be a success; we returned home with a complete list of Thanksgiving necessities.
Gingerbread Castle Photoshoot
Upon arriving home, I took advantage of the beautiful natural light to capture better photographs of our Gingerbread Castle. I enhanced its appearance by adding flags to the tops of the towers and the keep, which really completed the medieval look. I’m immensely proud of how everything turned out, and this tradition truly brings our family together in such a fun and memorable way.
James and Mizz Date
With Lydia attending after-school activities and Cohen at table tennis tryouts, I found myself at home alone with James and Mizz. Sensing his restlessness, Mizz, being the wonderful aunt she is, decided to take him on a small adventure. They strolled over to Starbucks, where James enjoyed a hot chocolate while Mizz, mindful of her upcoming surgery, opted for a water. In a delightful surprise, Mizz also purchased James a new taxi car and fire truck, making the outing even more memorable. It was a brief but enjoyable trip, reinforcing Mizz’s status as the best aunt imaginable.
